The MoonBoard is a climbing device that consists of an exclusive family of handholds and footholds. Each hold is organized into a family, or Hold Setup, allowing you to combine multiple hold sets in various combinations for different climbs. The app allows you to view different hold orientations and positions before using the MoonBoard, as well as hold problems from before 2016.

Can you match holds on MoonBoard?

If you’ve ever tried a MoonBoard, you know that they have a lot of limitations. While the nail-hard style is a good choice for beginners, advanced climbers may want to avoid using these boards until their finger strength and load tolerance are in tact. Because the Tension Board puts a lot of pressure on the finger tissues, it can injure these structures. Hence, it’s important to train with the board in between sessions.

While both MoonBoard and Tension Board use wooden holds, the Tension Board’s holds are smoother and more comfortable to hold. They feel like highly polished limestone, so you need to be precise. The wooden holds can be a bit frustrating to use, though. This is due to the fact that you’ll have to exert a lot of body tension and precision. However, these features are well worth the effort and the long-term benefits.

How many holds on a moon board?

There are many different types of rock climbing training boards, including hangboards, fingerboards, campus boards, moonboards, and kilterboards. You’ve probably heard of one of these or tried using one yourself. But what exactly is the difference between these climbing training tools? Each board is designed to train different aspects of climbing. Let’s take a look at how each one works. And what are some advantages and disadvantages of each type?

KB – the KB is adjustable and much larger than the other boards. It offers the greatest variety of movement, while other moon board holds don’t. Powell holds – also known as roofs – are difficult to squeeze. These holds aren’t ergonomic or comfortable, but they do build shoulder strength. You should also be able to circuit through them continuously. However, this type of board is not for every climber.

How do you set a MoonBoard hold?

The Metolius moon board has an added feature: a set of additional holds for power endurance training. This feature is more generous than that of the typical Moonboard. Using this board will allow you to set up a climb on a small wall or even on your bed. Despite the extra space, the Metolius moon board is still a very compact solution. It is easy to carry and use. And it has two sets of rungs – medium and large.

While the Metolius Moon Fingerboard has fewer fingerholds than its larger counterparts, it offers some of the best features in a compact size. The curved edges, tapered outward, and three-finger pockets are comfortable and provide good control. The board is durable, but not in a flash. It can be used by both beginners and advanced climbers. Even though it has fewer fingerholds than larger fingerboards, the Metolius Moon Fingerboard offers a great value for money.

Decoy

The Decoy Board is a digitally designed training product that combines grippy, multidirectional and dualtex holds with the look and feel of traditional handgrips. Its unique shapes, which are often not exact replicas of the rock’s natural form, are a popular choice among boulderers. While the Decoy Board grips are not as aesthetically pleasing as those of Kilter, they are highly functional.

The Decoy Board features dual-textured grips, which are much cleaner than the Decoy Board pour. The Moon Board also sports a streamlined, color scheme, while the Tension Board and Kilter Board are adjustable. The Moon Board will offer users over 9,000 routes in the near future. The Decoy Board will be available in standard commercial sizes, too. But what makes it superior to other options? Read on to discover more about the differences!

The dual-textured grips on the Decoy Board offer precision power. Dual-Tex allows you to hit a specific area on the board, enhancing your footwork and protecting valuable skin. In addition to these features, the Decoy Board allows for many different styles of climbing, enabling you to develop your style. You can use it for technical climbing or bouldering. In either case, the Decoy Board is a versatile climbing tool.
